Please Tell Me is a personal documentary about everyday folk beliefs, uncertainty, and family relationships. Beginning with a childhood memory of adults who claimed to have no belief yet still followed familiar rituals, the film shifts after the filmmaker's camera was stolen, leading her to Qimen Dunjia and to questions about what we turn to when life becomes unstable.
Jingjing Zhang is a media student at UCL. Her work explores memory, family relationships, identity, and the quiet emotional tensions within everyday life. Through personal documentary and poetic visual language, she is interested in how people search for meaning, comfort, and direction in moments of uncertainty.
