The scope of the digital realm has expanded beyond what was previously imaginable, and the abundance of knowledge, formation of subcultures and notions of authenticity have become increasingly difficult to pinpoint.
“I THINK IM TOO ONLINE” is a net art piece that explores digital duality and derealisation within the post digital condition. Using personal experiences like growing up on the internet and derealisation, along with found images, videos, texts and links, the piece creates meaning through the practice of net art.
Rather than returning to a naïve form of digital dualism, the piece aims to explore the ways in which this distinction could be deployed as an analytical tool in understanding how we navigate our identity, practices and perception.
