This interactive piece takes the form of a 2D tower defence game designed to explore how attention is managed within a digital system. The game presents multiple lanes through which enemies advance simultaneously, requiring players to monitor several areas at once. Key gameplay mechanics include resource allocation, spatial positioning, and time-sensitive decision-making, creating conditions in which attention must be continuously distributed and prioritised. The visual and spatial design uses elements such as movement, contrast, and proximity to draw focus towards specific locations, simulating how digital media systems guide user attention through interface and visual cues. Through play, the work reveals that attention is not simply self-directed but shaped by the structure of the system itself.
