All That You Change

Celisse Hamilton, STINGHÉR

STINGHÉR is a sensory-driven experimental film which explores the themes of loneliness and isolation — both physically and emotionally — within our contemporary technology-driven world. The film centres on a subject who faces identity dissolution and emotional turmoil due to the loneliness she experiences, examining how technology and social interaction/digital communication intensify feelings of detachment and solitude. Through cinematography, sound design and editing, the film aims to represent the psychological experience of existing within highly mediated digital spaces. The project forms part of a wider research investigation into the representation of digital loneliness in film and the value of practice-based methods in communicating emotional and psychological experiences that are difficult to articulate through written research alone.
