Home Away From Home is an interactive documentary exploring the experiences of first-generation immigrants. It delves into how they navigate cultural expectations, preservetraditions, and build a sense of belonging in new environments. Through personal narratives,archival materials, and immersive audiovisual storytelling, the project captures the tensions,harmonies, and adaptations that shape immigrant identities.Structured as a nonlinear, interactive experience, the documentary allows viewers to engagewith individual stories, reflecting the fragmented and evolving nature of identity. Personalobjects, music, and family photographs shared by participants add depth, illustrating howmemory and heritage influence identity over time.The exhibition features an interactive digital station and ethnographic items, encouragingaudiences to explore their own identities.
