You and I are Earth:

Peter Popov, Hearsay

interactive documentary

Hearsay is a short fiction film which utilizes bleak, glitchy and artificial visuals to mirrortoday’s concern about misinformation, asking “What if those in power perfected theirability to capitalize on deepfakes and synthetic media.”The film follows a man unwinding from a day at work and numbly scrolling through TVChannels which seemingly present him with nothing but altered content. Intentionallysatirical, the film exaggerates current technological trends, and the effect they have oneroding public trust.By pushing contemporary concerns to their extreme, Hearsay doesn’t just warn about thefuture- it questions how much of that future is already here.
